As a Product Manager at Passport, you help support the financial, operational, strategic and technical success of Passport’s product portfolio. You will be responsible for directing the evolution of one (or multiple) of Passport’s product verticals. You will be at the center of all things related to the product(s), researching and launching strategically relevant features that solve important problems for our clients. You own the development and execution of strategic product roadmaps which should reflect market dynamics, incorporate feedback from both internal and external stakeholders, and help drive your business unit forward.. You'll ensure customer and client feedback, market intelligence, and institutional knowledge are analyzed and infused into the product roadmaps. You will translate this roadmap into key product features. You will be instrumental in helping Passport grow revenue through your efforts on your product(s).

You will have the opportunity to wear several hats, and you should be comfortable learning new things and taking on new responsibilities. You’ll work closely with internal and external customers to understand market problems for your product.

Responsibilities:

  • Have a deep understand target market and customer segment for your product
  • Host customer/prospect interviews, surveys and advisory groups to understand pains and gains to identify product growth opportunities
  • Partner with UX to inform user personas and create journey maps
  • Understand the competitive landscape and generate outputs such as but not limited to competitor feature comparisons, competitor landscape and SWOT analysis
  • Perform win loss analysis
  • Investigate innovation related initiatives and their viability in the market
  • Collaborate with the Director of Product to develop a long range roadmap that is an intersection of the market need and product strategy
  • Identifying business opportunities and outcomes, their return on investments, dependencies and risks
  • Collaborate with UX, Architecture and Product Owner to establish an initial understanding of the scope and size of work
  • Represent Product throughout the RFP cycle in order to answer product specific questions and participate in short list presentations as needed

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience required, 5+years preferred, in product management
  • Experience and knowledge of assigned product vertical is a plus
  • B2G software experience preferred
  • Proven track record of shipping software products that deliver business results
  • Demonstrated ability to develop deep customer empathy and articulate customer problems
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to explain complex information in a simple and accurate manner
  • Demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills (facilitation, communication, etc)
  • A process-oriented, problem-solving, strategic, and continuous improvement mindset
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and working collaboratively with stakeholders
  • Experience with Agile methodology, including software applications (JIRA and Rally) a plus but not required
  • Ability to influence without direct management authority
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Pragmatic Institute Certification Level One is a plus
  • *Willingness to travel up to 10%
