And we’re looking for a Business Development Manager to join our fantastic team.

About the role

The successful candidate will help grow PayByPhone’s (PBP) UK business, driving business goals and plans and increasing revenue by generating new sales leads and maintaining existing client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively generate new business in your UK region;
  • Develop Sales strategies and profit forecasts and define individual channel plans for your region, to ensure profitable delivery and business growth;
  • Gather market and customer information and feedback to UK Sales Director, including forecasting a pipeline of future demands and opportunities;
  • Keep up-to-date with product developments and competitors
  • Target areas for contract growth, especially new product / service opportunities, to maximise sales and margin;
  • Build and maintain effective business relationships with executive decision makers in key accounts;
  • Negotiate the terms of an agreement and close all sales profitably;
  • Compile, monitor and analyse the sales figures for your region and, where necessary, take appropriate action to remain on track with meeting your targets;
  • Support the UK Sales Director with the development of Sales presentations and proposals;
  • Ensure sales are smoothly and accurately handed over to the Implementations teams;

Ideal candidate requirements

  • Demonstrable previous success in a Sales role;
  • Experience of working to and achieving / exceeding targets and KPIs on a regular basis;
  • Full, clean Driving Licence;
  • IT Literate (MS Office);
  • Experience of using a CRM system;
  • Able to think on your feed in a conversation and answer unexpected questions;
  • Excellent people and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work on your own initiative; Work with little direction.
