ROLE DESCRIPTION
- Role Title: Management Accountant
- Team: Finance
- Reports to: Finance Lead
- Environment: Office Based, 5 days per week, Open Plan Office
Principal accountabilities
- Responsible for managing individuals within the Finance Team to ensure set KPI’s and deliverables are met on time and to the required standard.
- Taking ownership for completing delegated Month and Year End close tasks and all associated reporting within specified timescales (e.g., within 5 days) and identifying and implementing ways to consistently achieve against this.
- Within month end timescales producing appropriate balance sheet reconciliations for review and sign-off
- Analysing company financial performance (e.g., interrogate Powerplay)
- Assist in preparing insightful and meaningful reports, budgets, commentaries, and financial statements.
- Work with the Finance Lead to develop P&L reporting by site.
- Working with the Finance Lead to undertake the provision of robust information for audit to ensure the minimum of sign off issues.
- Assist with statutory audit tasks.
- Reviewing and transforming reporting, processes, and procedures to add value to the business.
- Assisting on project work or tasks where required, as directed by the Finance Lead
- Take ownership of PCN (Parking Charge Notice) Client Share Reporting
- Undertake quarterly invoicing process for VAT customers and ensure these are both timely and accurate
Technical competencies
- Educated to degree level or equivalent in experience
- CIMA / ACCA qualification preferable
- Demonstrable financial accounting experience
- Commercial acumen, with a strong focus on profitability
- Time management, organisation, prioritisation, and coordination skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Stakeholder management skills
- Line management experience, desirable (future potential to manage a small team)

Pay: £44,000.00 per year
