The opportunity

At WPS Canada, the sales team is the engine that drives the customer reach of our parking system solutions. We are seeking an experienced sales professional who can help keep this engine running by applying their own sales and leadership skills. The ideal sales representative has deep experience with the entire sales process, excelling at lead generation and relationship building. We are looking for a quick learner who has strong negotiating skills- someone with a successful track record.

The sales representative is responsible for the Ontario region. This position will report to the General Manager.

Key responsibilities:

  • Represent the company effectively, with comprehensive knowledge of our products and services.
  • Prospect and sell to new customers in the defined sales territory and across all designated market sectors.
  • Develop and manage relationships with existing customers, in the defined sales territory and within the designated market segments.
  • Take leadership role in contributing to overall success of the sales team.
  • Grow the business in line with measured performance goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and management to develop and execute sales and marketing strategies.
  • Achieve company objectives by planning thoroughly, setting goals, making forecasts, and analysing performance data.

What we are looking for

Essential Qualifications:

  • An effective and persuasive communicator in both oral and written English.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong presentation skills in one-on-one meetings and in group settings.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to deliver on time when placed under deadlines.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in business-to-business selling related to enterprise software solutions that reside within complex, large-scale network environments.
  • Minimum University Undergraduate Degree or College Diploma.
  • Education and training in basic electronics, electrical theory, data communications and computer networks.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Previous experience working with Customer Relationship Manager (“CRM”
  • Availability to travel on business as needed.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (French and English languages)
  • Previous experience with negotiating contracts ranging from $100,000 to $2,000,000.
  • Previous experience working in the parking access & revenue control business or a related industry, e.g. Security Access Control, Building Control Systems.
