omniQ's Machine Vision Ordered for JFK, Laguardia, NY Stewart, and Newark Airports

Project managed by NY/NJ Port Authority, to significantly improve traffic flow, revenue stream, and travelers’ convenience using airport parking.

This is intended to improve the accuracy of LPR-based parking systems throughout the airports as well as traveler convenience.

OMNIQ Corp. (NASDAQ: OMQS) and DESIGNA worked together to further the success of The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) at four major airports: JFK, Newark, LaGuardia, and Stewart International Airport. The upgrade includes the latest AI neural network deep learning LPR engine.

It was a sophisticated, multi-faceted, enterprise-level hardware and software upgrade/deployment requiring strategic planning and multi-departmental coordination to successfully accomplish.

This is intended to improve the accuracy of LPR-based parking systems throughout the airports as well as traveler convenience. Specifically, omniQ guarantees at least 95% accuracy with the new system. Increasing the accuracy and speed of transactions is intended to allow patrons to enter/exit and find their cars more quickly and efficiently.

Additionally, the upgrade improves convenience for passengers with lost or misplaced vehicles and lost tickets. This upgrade assists in future-proofing Port Authority of NY/NJ vehicle access and revenue control programs built on the original deployment that started in 2017. These upgrades were all performed by the talented and certified team at Designa US a market leader in fully automated parking systems.

Shai Lustgarten, CEO, stated “An additional strong vote of confidence from some of the most important Airports in the world proving again that where quality matters, omniQ is selected again and again. The PANYNJ upgrade program is intended to improve the accuracy of the parking systems throughout the airports as well as improve traveler convenience. Increasing the accuracy and speed of transactions allows customers to enter/exit and find their cars in a quicker and more efficient manner. The project also improves the convenience for passengers with lost or misplaced vehicles and tickets. As we deployed our AI system in over 60 Airports in the US, we expect many of them to follow NYNJPA and order our new generation for their parking and security operations. We are excited to partner with DESIGNA and their talented team to help future-proof the PANYNJ vehicle access and revenue control program that was originally deployed several years ago. We look forward to expanding our partnership as well as potential future projects with DESIGNA to upgrade and enhance airports and other parking venues.
