Increasing Occupancy Rates Together: EasyPark Group and SKIDATA Join Forces

EasyPark Group and SKIDATA today announced a new cooperation that promises to deliver more efficient traffic flow and more customers for participating garages across Europe. For garages with SKIDATA parking systems, the cooperation provides the opportunity to connect with the EasyPark app and its extensive user base, allowing more drivers to enter and exit with increased convenience.

EasyPark Group CEO, Johan Birgersson, said SKIDATA and his team are working together to help operators increase their occupancy rates and create a smoother parking experience for motorists.

This new cooperation will give parking operators access to millions of EasyPark users across Europe, which not only means more cars in garages, but drivers can now pass through SKIDATA gates in participating garages without having to use credit card or cash,” he said.

For drivers, this partnership will mean fewer queues when entering and exiting an off-street parking lot, as time usually spent manually managing your parking session can now be fully automated through the EasyPark app.

Johan CEO of EasyParkFor many years now, we have been working closely with municipalities and parking operators around the world in order to improve traffic flows in cities and maximize occupancy rates, so it’s fantastic news that we are able to expand our existing footprint in the off-street sector with such a reputable partner,” he said.

As we continue to increase our coverage into new markets in 2018, we also want to make sure our users are able to manage their parking with the same app with as little hassle as possible, whether they are parking off-street or on-street, at home or abroad.

We are always looking for new ways to expand our solutions for car park operators with innovative services", says Florian Schneeberger, VP Business Line Management & Innovation at SKIDATA. "SKIDATA has always built strong integrations. Cooperations like EasyPark Group ensure parking operators and garage owners to have the choice of easily adding new sales channels on top of their own".

SKIDATA’s proprietary cloud-based sweb® Interfaces enable simple and quick integrations of multiple car parks to the EasyPark service in a centralized manner. Plate.Gate, SKIDATA’s seamlessly integrated License Plate Recognition system, allows streamlined access at participating garages.

EasyPark Group also recently announced its very own parking guidance tool within the EasyPark app for users in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo and Stavanger, called Find & Park, which helps drivers find an available parking space in the city. Find & Park also shows users the nearest off-street parking options close to their destination.
