Nice Airport equipped with system upgrade for the future

Aéroport Nice Côte d'Azur

Just in time for the holiday season, the parking management system at Nice Airport was updated to the latest technical standard. The first entervo version of Scheidt & Bachmann from 2010 was provided with a complete upgrade.

The system now has the latest software in addition to new servers. The conversion took place at night during the operation of more than 22 parking areas with 86 entry and exit lanes. The transition went very smoothly with customers experiencing hardly any disruptions. Regardless of whether the motorists drove in before or after the change of the software - correct processing of parking time was ensured through the transfer of data.

With the latest software version, the Nice Airport is ideally equipped for the future and can offer its customers additional comfort. For example, only two entry and/or exit lanes were previously equipped with a license plate recognition system. In the future, this service will be offered overall on all entry and exit lanes. The media-free entry and exit is becoming increasingly popular - in that it reduces downtime in the devices through lower wear and tear of components. In addition to the economic advantage, new business models can be developed with more comfort for parking and for increasing the parking space utilisation.

With the latest entervo version the foundation for a new, modern reservations system was laid. It will be customer friendly, comfortable and contemporary.

Since more than one year, Scheidt & Bachmann France maintains its own service office at the Nice Airport. In addition to routine care and maintenance tasks, the service team of Scheidt & Bachmann stands aside the Parking Authority at Nice Airport with words and deeds. The establishment of the service offices at the airport is an integral part of the already prevailing successful cooperation between the Scheidt &Bachmann team and the Nice Airport team. Patrick Moretton, Managing Director of Scheidt & Bachmann France, is very pleased: “Even with the system upgrade, one could rely on mutual support.
