CFL, Devoteam, and Scheidt & Bachmann Enhance Commuter Parking At Mersch Station

P+R parking spaces - game changer for relieving car congestion in city centers?

With the P+R parking garage at the train station in Mersch, CFL - Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois is offering another parking facility for commuters, making it easier to switch to public transport. The station can be reached directly from the parking garage via one of the two underpasses.

405 parking spaces are available on five levels. There are parking spaces equipped with Chargy charging stations as well as reserved spaces for customers with reduced mobility.

The entrance lanes are equipped with cameras, as registered users of the CFL P+R app developed by Devoteam, which integrates seamlessly into Scheidt & Bachmann's entervo system, enter the parking garage using a license plate or QR code. Another advantage of the CFL P+R app is that the parking fee, if one is payable, can be paid directly in the app. In order to keep the search for a parking space as short as possible, the free parking spaces are displayed globally for each level.

Access to the parking garage is gained by entering the license plate number at a door reader. On exit, the barrier opens automatically and no control medium is required. Cameras recognize the license plate number and the system determines whether a parking fee is due or has already been paid.

The partnership between CFL, Devoteam and Scheidt & Bachmann Parking Solutions offers an attractive parking experience and makes it easier for commuters to switch to the train - for the sake of the environment.
