APCOA to Manage Trailblazing ‘Ancoats Mobility Hub’ in Manchester

Open to the public from Tuesday 6 May, Manchester Council’s Ancoats Mobility Hub is a key element of the latest phase of investment in the area – the final chapter of two decades of regeneration in this neighbourhood. Pre-booked and on the day parking for the 400 available spaces will be managed by APCOA as will payment for charging at any of the 102 electric vehicle charging points. In addition, the hub is equipped with 150 ‘Spokesafe’ secure bike parking spaces as well as customer changing facilities and parcel lockers.

The move is part of what the company describes as a broader "strategic realignment" amid sluggish market growth and heightened competition, according to a report by Azernews. The tech giant announced on Tuesday that it will wind down its EV charger business, which was handled by its Eco Solution (ES) division. A company spokesperson noted that the decision reflects LG’s effort to adapt to a shifting business landscape.
