Q: How has the experience been for you and the team?

Joyce de Winter:

To be honest, for us it was really overwhelming because it was such a success. Of course, everyone will say after organizing an event that it was very successful, but for us, this edition was truly of such a high level.

We welcomed so many visitors. For instance, around 30% of visitors came from governments, including international governments, ministries, and city management. So yes, for us, it was a very positive experience.

Q: What were some of the main takeaways for you from this edition of Intertraffic Amsterdam?

Joyce de Winter:

There are a few takeaways, but I will mention the most important ones for me.

One is that we saw a lot of high-level visitors coming from government. It is quite clear now that governments are putting Intertraffic on their agendas, which is really good to know.

Another important takeaway is that we added new features to the show, including the open stages in the different segment halls. For instance, there was an open stage in the parking hall, where Parking Network was sponsoring.

We have seen that this added more value to our content program, and we are really happy to see that visitors highly appreciated it.

Q: Would you say there is real eagerness in the industry right now to learn, exchange ideas, and discuss the changes taking place across mobility and traffic technology?

Joyce de Winter:

Definitely. There are so many changes going on in the industry.

If you look at the impact of AI, robotics, and automation in mobility, that raises many questions for the industry. Because Intertraffic is the global mobility event for mobility, traffic, and technology solutions, we wanted to make sure this information was shared with everyone.

That is why it is really important to offer a broad spectrum of information to our audience.

Q: Now that the event has taken place, would you say those themes were clearly reflected across the exhibition floor and the content program?

Joyce de Winter:

Yes, definitely. When you walked through the halls and visited the stands, you could already see the impact that AI and robotics are having on our industry. Also, on the biggest stages, including the summit stages, AI and mobility. They were part of around 80% of the content and the questions being discussed.

Q: What would you recommend to professionals who want to stay active and updated within the Intertraffic network and the wider industry?

Joyce de Winter:

I would advise everyone to stay in contact with the Intertraffic network and our social channels. Of course, the Parking Network sites is also very up to date on what is going on in the industry.

Another way to stay updated on what is happening with Intertraffic is to look at our other shows around the world. We have Intertraffic China this year, and next year we have Intertraffic Asia in Bangkok and Intertraffic Mexico in Mexico City. It might be interesting to take a look at those events as well.
