Major Contract from Frankfurt Airport Goes to MSR-Traffic Parking Guidance System

Thousands of ultrasonic sensors for a mega car park belonging to Fraport AG Frankfurt Airport, one of Europe's most important transport hubs, is relying on innovative sensor technology from Lower Bavaria for its new Terminal 3. MSR-Traffic GmbH, a company of MSR-Group GmbH, and its sister company VOLTA have been awarded the contract for a state-of-the-art parking guidance system by the operating company FRAPORT AG, which will make travelling easier for millions of people. At the heart of the project is the new car park at Terminal 3, one of the largest in Europe.

Background Opened in 1972 and located just off the M6 motorway in Penrith, Cumbria, the J38 Truckstop is a truly unique, family-owned service stop owned and operated by Westmorland. The services include a wide parking area, a gas station, shops, and a restaurant, providing a popular stop-off for heavy goods vehicles (HGV) traffic and general traffic on to a journey south, on the route from the North East of England to Lancashire. IP Parking Completes Fast-Track PARCS Installation at Charleston International Airport

IP Parking has successfully completed the first phase installation of its Parking Access and Revenue Control System (PARCS) at Charleston International Airport (CHS), South Carolina’s largest and busiest airport. In 2024 alone, CHS welcomed a record-breaking 6,295,439 travelers, underscoring the need for seamless and efficient parking solutions. CHS serves as a key hub for both civilian and military aviation under a long-standing joint-use agreement with Joint Base Charleston and is home to Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner assembly facility.

The exceptional landscape and wealth of activities and sports events attract over 1,000 visitors daily during the high season, who reach the cable car departure point in the center of Cortina d’Ampezzo by car or bus. Its parking facility handles a high turnover of incoming and outgoing vehicles 7 days a week, providing an essential service in a site constrained by the natural conformation of the area.
