Development Manager (Budapest, HU)
The Development Manager, as a direct employee of the Development Director and the operational leader of a development team, manages SW+HW product development projects and ensures the efficient operation of the team. The core element of the role is team leadership and coordinated management of parallel development projects.
Main tasks
- Professional and operational management of the development team (20+ people)
- Leading multiple integrated software and hardware development projects
- Develop and track project plans, schedules, and milestones
- Resource planning, setting priorities
- Preparing project and status reports for the development director and senior management
- Direct support to the Development Director in strategic and operational matters
- Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, partners
- Fine-tuning development processes, making efficiency improvement suggestions
Expectations
- Higher technical education
- Experience in leading a development (or engineering) team of at least 20 people
- At least 5 years of experience in managing complex IT and/or product development projects
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (MS Project, Jira)
- Systems thinking and strong project management approach, as well as excellent problem-solving, conflict management and communication skills
- At least intermediate, active (technical) English language skills
It is an advantage
- PMP, IPMA or PRINCE2 certification
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Experience in IT or SW+HW product development environment
- Knowledge of OKR or other objective management methodology
- Experience gained in a multinational environment
