Vice President, ITS & Smart City Sales (Budapest, HU)
Adaptive Recognition is looking for a senior executive with a business ownership approach to the position of Vice President ITS & Smart City Sales, who will take full business and commercial responsibility for the international business success of Intelligent Traffic Solutions and Smart City solutions. This position is an entrepreneurial senior executive role in a dynamically growing technology company. The role holder will be the business owner of the ITS & Smart City segment, with broad decision-making authority, clear accountability and clear performance expectations.
Mission
The position is a business ownership role, more than a traditional sales management role.
The VP is responsible as the “mini-CEO ” of the ITS & Smart City business unit:
- for trade and growth strategy,
- for the development and consistent implementation of the product and market-driven roadmap,
- for the international market positioning of intelligent transportation solutions,
- and for the full implementation of the business plan.
Main tasks
- Full business and commercial (P&L) responsibility for ITS & Smart City solutions,
- Development and implementation of international sales and go- to -market strategy,
- Creation and disciplined implementation of a sales and marketing roadmap,
- Preparing and delivering presentations to senior management and board level,
- Fulfilling the business plan and growth goals,
- Leading complex, high-value international negotiations (state and local government organizations, transport authorities, urban transport systems, integrator partners),
- Authentic and strong market representation of ITS solutions,
- Close cooperation with development and production areas,
- Translating market and customer feedback into strategic and product priorities.
The position requires a leadership profile who:
- Able to make independent, confident decisions without micromanagement,
- Uses broad authority consciously and responsibly,
- Manages a complex, international business segment with an entrepreneurial approach,
- Able to make commercially sound, even difficult, decisions,
- It measures managerial and organizational success in concrete, measurable business results,

Required skills and experience
- Senior sales / business leadership experience in ITS, intelligent traffic solutions, public sector or GovTech ,
- High level of senior management and board level presentation skills,
- Balance of strategic thinking and execution discipline,
- Roadmap -level planning and implementation experience,
- Outstanding negotiation competence in institutional, public sector environments ,
- Strong business independence, decision-making ability and responsibility,
- Confident English language skills, additional foreign languages are an advantage.
