Do you have experience working as a Contract Manager, Commercial Manager or a service orientated Procurement Manager? Are you looking to join an innovative company and demonstrate your experience in a combined role?

We are at a stage where we need a strategic Senior Commercial Manager to play a crucial role in driving business growth and profitability to help develop and execute an impactful external and internal strategy to support the Group through this exciting time.

You will provide commercial insights, drive profitable growth, and support the organisation’s long-term goals. You will act as a key commercial interface across the operator businesses, handling commercial issues across Business-to-Business Relationships (Client and Suppliers) and Business to Consumer arrangements.

In this role you will be:

  • Responsible for a high level of contracting support including negotiation, drafting, editing and approving contract documents, managing deadlines relative to contract expirations and post contract evaluation.
  • Responsible for the financial management of commercial projects.
  • Responsible for identifying and implementing opportunities to support the business deliver its environmental and social governance aspirations.
  • Responsible for adhering to legislative and regulatory guidelines including the IPC and BPA.
  • Providing advice and guidance on legislation relevant to new products and existing service provisions.
  • Develop commercial products for bids to win new business in conjunction with the Bid team
  • Undertake commercial due diligence of new suppliers and potential company acquisitions.
  • Recognising new business opportunities and developing relevant commercial products to support business objectives, including supporting development of commercial models.
  • Identify the risks liability and commitments of contractual arrangements; ensure these are clearly understood and that the business fully appreciates any potential impacts.
  • Establish and manage works processes to identify and capture items beyond the contract’s limit of liability, or any risks associated with the contract.
  • Develop and implement efficient and effective commercial procedures across the organisation.
  • Running procurement activities.
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies across the business.

Risk Management and Governance

  • Create, maintain, and enforce policies, procedures, and governance to manage commercial risk.
  • Lead contractual negotiations in conjunction with the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Support the operations team with contractual commercial requirements and address related implications of non-performance.
  • Review and develop operational processes to improve performance and maximize growth.

Collaborate with relevant departments to develop accurate and consistent bids.


Who you are and what you have:

  • Previous experience working within a similar commercial role.
  • Relevant Procurement Qualifications (MCIPS), Law Degree, Business Degree
  • Experience of running multiple procurement projects
  • Solid financial skills, including financial reporting abilities.
  • Knowledge of different contract types, (Goods, Services, Software Licences, SaaS)
  • Experience in developing and managing commercial processes and procedures.
  • Familiarity with Facilities Management, Software Services and/or parking is advantageous, but not essential.
  • Strong computer literacy, including working knowledge of MS packages.

Other information:

  • Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
  • Hours: We can be flexible across full time, key time or part time hours.
  • Location: Remote or hybrid from one of our offices
