APCOA's goal is to provide smart parking solutions that meet the needs of the modern, connected consumer by providing them with an equally connected parking garage. As a private equity-led company, we are pursuing an ambitious growth strategy and would like to take you with us on our path to digitalization as a
Senior Product Manager (m/f/d) Digital
Stuttgart or remote
Your mission:
- As a Senior Product Manager in the Digital Products & Innovation division, you will actively shape the future of our digital parking products – with both hands. We are not looking for a strategist from the ivory tower, but a real doer: Someone who takes responsibility, tackles things and is not above completing tasks that are not in the classic senior PM textbook. With us, you will switch smoothly between roadmap workshop and ticket writing, between strategy deck and bug reproduction in app testing. You will be responsible for your own products and features end-to-end – from the initial idea to development and roll-out – and will make a significant contribution to APCOA further expanding its market leadership in the field of digital parking solutions.
- You will:
- take strategic and operational responsibility for selected digital products and features – and not just "take responsibility", but actively help shape, work and deliver
- Independently develop, prioritize and further develop the product vision, roadmap and backlogs together with the Head of Product Management – including neatly written user stories, acceptance criteria and refinements that you prepare yourself
- Identify, develop and implement innovative product ideas, optimizations and features – even if that means sketching a prototype in Figma yourself, conducting a competitor test or formulating a feature concept down to the smallest detail
- Analyze product performance based on relevant KPIs – You build your dashboards and evaluations pragmatically yourself (basic SQL or analytics knowledge is worth its weight in gold here) instead of waiting for input
- regularly test our apps and products ourselves, reproduce bugs, document feedback cleanly and sometimes listen in on the hotline or drive into the field to observe real users parking
- Work closely with cross-functional teams from app development, marketing, sales, IT and operations and act as a central interface – even if you don't have a project manager at your side and organize appointments, minutes or status updates yourself
- Coordinate implementation in coordination with other APCOA countries and international service providers – including annoying detailed work such as backlog maintenance, release notes or documentation updates
- Participate in the selection and management of external partners and service providers, write briefings yourself and critically accept deliveries
- Carry out continuous market, competition and trend analyses – for us, this also means: doing your own research, clicking through competitor apps yourself, compiling figures yourself
- Leading junior colleagues professionally without withdrawing from operational work – You lead by demonstrating, not by delegating
You have:
- Several years of relevant professional experience in digital product management, ideally in the B2C and/or B2B environment – and above all a strong hands-on mentality: You don't wait for tasks to come to you, but see what needs to be done and get started
- The clear attitude that no topic is "below your pay grade": Whether it's backlog refinement, app store screenshot, testing session or stakeholder update – you take over what is needed at the moment instead of waiting for the perfect process
- In-depth experience in agile working methods (Scrum, Kanban) as well as in the confident, daily use of tools such as Jira, Confluence or comparable – you write tickets yourself instead of having them written
- very good knowledge in the development and scaling of digital products and platforms; Experience in app store management and a basic technical understanding (APIs, data flows, releases) are a clear plus
- A degree in business informatics, business administration or a comparable course of study - or a comparable career that proves your ability to work in a structured way
- strong analytical and conceptual skills, coupled with pragmatism: You would rather deliver an 80% solution this week than a 100% solution in three months
- High implementation skills, initiative and entrepreneurial thinking – as well as the willingness to take care of uncomfortable or small-scale tasks yourself in case of doubt
- Enthusiasm for digital business models, eCommerce and the use of modern technologies
- Very good knowledge of German and English as well as an experienced handling of common tools and Office applications
What we are expressly not looking for: PowerPoint architects who paint strategies but never look at the code repo, the ticket system or the app. If "that's not my job" is your most common sentence, we don't fit together. If, on the other hand, you love what you do, and even the tenth click through a payment flow is not too stupid for you – then we should talk.
You will meet:
- Performance-related remuneration
- Flexible working hours and home office options (work-life balance)
- Positive working environment with flat hierarchies
- Offers in occupational health management
- Further development opportunities in an international group
- Corporate benefits: discounts, discounts on various platforms
- Free parking at the workplace and employee parking in APCOA parking garages
- A great opportunity to help shape an interesting area
