Senior Product Manager (Remote, Stuttgart, DE)
APCOA – We connect parking, mobility, and urban life. The APCOA Group is Europe's leading full-service parking management company with 50 years of industry expertise. The company leverages international competence with experts from 12 European countries and boasts an extensive customer portfolio. The Group manages approximately 1.5 million individual parking spaces at over 12,000 locations. The company's roughly 5,000 employees contribute their know-how and local expertise to provide excellent services to retail and business customers. APCOA's goal is to offer intelligent parking solutions that meet the needs of the modern, connected consumer by providing them with an equally connected parking garage. As a private equity-backed company, we pursue an ambitious growth strategy and would like you to join us on our journey of digitalization as a Senior Product Manager (m/f/d) Digital.
Stuttgart or remote.
Your mission:
As a Senior Product Manager in Digital Products & Innovation, you'll actively shape the future of our digital parking products – hands-on. We're not looking for an ivory tower strategist, but a real go-getter: someone who takes responsibility, gets stuck in, and isn't afraid to tackle tasks that aren't in the typical senior PM textbook. With us, you'll seamlessly transition between roadmap workshops and ticket writing, between strategy decks and bug reproduction in app testing. You'll be responsible for your own products and features end-to-end – from the initial idea through development to rollout – and play a key role in further expanding APCOA's market leadership in digital parking solutions.
You will:
- To assume strategic and operational responsibility for selected digital products and features – not just to "be responsible", but to actively shape, develop and deliver them.
- Independently develop, prioritize, and further develop the product vision, roadmap, and backlogs together with the Head of Product Management – including clearly written user stories, acceptance criteria, and refinements that you prepare yourself.
- Identifying, developing and implementing innovative product ideas, optimizations and features – even if that means sketching a prototype in Figma, conducting a competitor test or formulating a feature concept down to the smallest detail.
- Analyze product performance based on relevant KPIs – you pragmatically build your own dashboards and reports (basic SQL or analytics knowledge is invaluable here), instead of waiting for input from others.
- We regularly test our apps and products ourselves , reproduce bugs, document feedback clearly, and even listen in on calls on the hotline or go into the field to observe real users parking.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams from app development, marketing, sales, IT and operations, and act as a central interface – even when you don't have a project manager by your side and are organizing appointments, minutes or status updates yourself.
- Coordinate the implementation in consultation with other APCOA countries and international service providers – including tedious details such as backlog maintenance, release notes, or documentation updates.
- Participate in the selection and management of external partners and service providers, write briefings yourself and critically accept deliveries.
- Conducting continuous market, competitive and trend analyses – for us, this also means: doing our own research, clicking through competitors' apps ourselves, compiling our own data.
- Provide technical guidance to junior colleagues without withdrawing from operational work – you lead by example, not by delegating.
You have:
- Several years of relevant professional experience in digital product management, ideally in a B2C and/or B2B environment – and above all, a strong hands-on mentality : You don't wait for tasks to come to you, but see what needs to be done and get started.
- The clear stance that no topic is "below your pay grade": Whether it's backlog refinement, an app store screenshot, a testing session, or a stakeholder update – you take on what's needed right now, instead of waiting for the perfect process.
- Solid experience in agile working methods (Scrum, Kanban) as well as confident, daily use of tools such as Jira, Confluence or similar – you write tickets yourself, instead of having them written for you.
- Excellent knowledge of developing and scaling digital products and platforms; experience in app store management and a basic technical understanding (APIs, data flows, releases) are a clear advantage.
- a completed degree in business informatics, business administration or a comparable field of study – or a comparable career path that demonstrates your ability to work in a structured manner
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, coupled with pragmatism: You prefer to deliver an 80% solution this week rather than a 100% solution in three months.
- Strong implementation skills, initiative and entrepreneurial thinking – as well as the willingness to handle unpleasant or small-scale tasks oneself if necessary.
- Enthusiasm for digital business models, eCommerce and the use of modern technologies
- very good German and English skills as well as proficient use of common tools and office applications.
What we're explicitly not looking for: PowerPoint architects who sketch out strategies but never look at the code repository, the ticketing system, or the app itself. If "that's not my job" is your most frequent phrase, we're not a good fit. However, if you love what you do and don't mind the tenth click through a payment flow – then we should talk.
You will encounter:
- Performance-based compensation
- Flexible working hours and home office options (work-life balance)
- Positive work environment with flat hierarchies
- Services in workplace health management
- Career development opportunities in an international corporation
- Corporate benefits: Discounts and price reductions on various platforms
- Free parking at the workplace and employee parking in APCOA parking garages
- A great opportunity to help shape an interesting field.
