Summary:

The Associate Technical Client Project Manager (ATCPM) will lead the Client Project Managements technical activities and the ATCPMs primary focus is on leading and managing the delivery of activities for Closed Won Opportunities, whether for less complex IDeaS RMS implementations or more technical add-on projects for currently installed IDeaS RMS solutions.

The Associate Technical Client Project Manager will be assigned to work on small, less project management complex projects as requested by the Client Project Management (CPM) team managers. This includes technical projects, add-on projects, and basic implementation of all the IDeaS RMS systems for our clients in the EMEA region. This is the core work of the ATCPM role.

This client facing delivery role involves ensuring that all efforts, inputs, and resources needed to deliver successful setup, configuration, and integrations between IDeaS and a 3rd Party Vendors within the IDeaS onboarding processes are properly coordinated, following existing processes and procedures, using appropriate tools.

Whilst the Associate Technical Client Project Manager will primarily focus on assisting with the technical activities for Closed Won Opportunities, they may need to be involved with pre-sales or pre-release activities from time to time. This means working closely with not only the CPM team, but also partners, Integration team members, Product Management, Client Success, and many other IDeaS team members that engage in each individual client onboarding or add-on project, as well as internal projects.

The ATCPM acts as a crucial bridge between technical and non-technical team members, both internally and externally.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage the technical amendment to current installed IDeaS solutions from beginning to end, ensuring that the amended solution, or system, delivered meets the client’s expectations and delivers ongoing benefits to the client.
  • For less project management complex products or solutions, direct and manage the IDeaS RMS solution implementation from beginning to end, ensuring that the new system delivered meets the client’s expectations and delivers ongoing benefits to the client.
  • Function as a bridge and escalation point for Client Project Managers (CPMs) and Client Relationship Managers (CRMs), consulting with Integrations and Technical teams to bring the issues to a resolution quickly and efficiently.
  • Support CPMs and CRMs with the design of project plans for onboarding projects ensuring that all necessary steps are included.
  • Support CPMs and CRMs with conducting external kickoff meetings to ensure all relevant steps are contained within the project plan and work together required partner/integration teams
  • Lead the teams’ communications and activities related to handover of new solutions, products, and integrations from IDeaS internal teams to the CPM and CRM teams ensuring a proper hand over occurs.
  • Take proactive action to address misalignments, miscommunications, and differences amongst team members as they relate to technical issues or queries.
  • Escalate issues to Regional Manager, Client Project Management team if Integrations issues impact the high-level project plan and the onboarding timeline appear in jeopardy in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Work closely with Product Management, Sales, Integrations, Installations & Support, Client Services, Business Administration teams etc. to ensure all required internal and external technical documentation and communication is managed in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Follow all established departmental project documentary and communication processes using appropriate departmental tools provided.
  • Assist in a technical sales support role, with potential partners and/or clients.
  • Support and assist Integrations Team members as required.
  • Support both the Implementation & Adoption, and Client Success departments as requested.
  • Other duties, as necessary.

Requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with a concentration on business administration or computer science
  • 0 to 2 years of experience in a client facing technical support, product management, project management or software development capacity for a hospitality-industry technology company, software manufacturer or technology solutions provider.
  • To work in EMEA Time-zone
  • Good project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities

Preferences:

  • Experience in managing projects using Project Management software, SalesForce, or Team communication software.

Other

  • Work is typically performed in an office environment, using simple, easy muscular movements, involving only the handling of light materials, tools, or equipment in easy work positions, and with no special speed requirements or long stretches of exertion.
