Marketing Manager (Vancouver, CA)

We're seeking a Marketing Manager to join us!

The purpose of this role is to support the PBP Commercial strategy, manage the budget and lead the marketing team. Top goals include assisting in acquiring new business and driving adoption and usage of PayByPhone through engaging consumer campaigns on both a national and hyperlocal level.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Independently execute on multiple B2C campaigns including: Top 5 Clients, Client groups (multi-city) and independent campaigns on time and on budget
  • Present clear annual and quarterly campaign action plans which answer to:
  • *Demonstrated, clear ROI
  • *Agreed CPA per user
  • *Alignment of campaign objective (i.e. New user vs retention - no of txns per user vs reactivation)
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Commercial Sales team, Client Success and Product to manage B2B marketing strategy and deployment of lead generation efforts.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Commercial Sales team, Client Success and Product to drive brand awareness, client and consumer adoption and transaction growth
  • Review and feedback frameworks for the current core marketing team
  • Drive brand consistency across all consumer and client assets and actively align with global brand guidelines
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships for B2C coverage, adoption and usage
  • Successfully manage core team priorities including design and operations
  • Produce consistent, high quality client presentations, corporate and internal presentations
  • Responsible for providing internal updates to wider consumer team including product demos, learning sessions and general activity updates
  • Responsible for maintaining good client relationships both directly with clients and through the Account Management team
  • Investigate machine learning best practice to increase trnx/user ratio

What does success look like in the role?

  • Establish a successful, scalable and repeatable B2C marketing model. Method: Multiple campaigns launched throughout key PBP markets, including measurable ROI working towards a CPA of $3/ user or less
  • Highly collaborative working relationship with internal and external customers a subject matter expert
  • Work with campaign manager to achieve a 10% increase, above organic growth, through marketing campaigns and activity; % is based on the corporate objective at that time
  • Investigate machine learning best practice to increase trnx/user ratio
  • Comprehensive campaign plan for top clients resulting in back to back activity with no lull
  • A highly successful operational B2C marketing team with scheduled team creative reviews and streamlined communication and workflow
  • The role is the first point of contact for guidance on marketing best practice for campaign operations

The must-haves:

  • Ability to manage and prioritize activity
  • Ability to collaborate with internal cross-functional teams in North America
  • Experience and understanding of marketing tools and analytics technologies associated with the role. (for example, digital campaign tracking)
  • Experience and understanding of digital marketing and social media management tools
  • 2+ years' experience managing people or equivalent in a team lead role
  • 5+ years in a Marketing role
  • 2+ years experience using all major digital and social media channels
  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications and/or business or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Maintaining good client relationships both directly with clients and through the Account Management team
  • Operational campaign planning experience against commercial objectives
  • Experience building hyperlocal consumer activities within our Client list
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple core marketing team members and prioritize activity
  • Highly collaborative with internal and external stakeholders including partners, vendors and global teams
  • Ability to proactively tackle adoption challenges specific to each client/client group/hub and analyze performance and continually iterate.
  • Proactively work with and understand local client challenges and iterate on solutions
  • Owns the implementation and operational management of consumer campaigns and individuals responsible for specific outputs
  • Responsible for leading the internal team (4+ members)
  • Strive for and maintain operational best practice with local teams
