What will you do as a Field Service Manager?

On the one hand, you are responsible for managing the service team that resolves hardware and software issues, such as barriers, payment terminals, and/or the SKIDATA parking management system, at existing SKIDATA locations. On the other hand, you will manage the project engineers to ensure they execute the ordered projects according to plan.

You will have regular contact with our customers and build relationships to manage customer satisfaction and take action to continue to meet customer needs.

Our customers are active in various segments, such as airports, healthcare institutions, municipalities, parking operators and hotels.

Our organization never stands still, and we're constantly looking for ways to improve our operations. You'll play an active role in translating this into process improvements.

In this role you will report to the Head of Operations Belgium.

Your tasks:

  • The management of the team of Service and Project Engineers
    • You are the point of contact for current affairs with internal and external customers.
    • You ensure that your team is able to perform the work properly (support, training, planning, supplies, first time fix).
    • You stimulate employee satisfaction, partly by drawing up a personal development plan together.
    • You are responsible for the safe working of the field service team (Safety in accordance with Contractors, VCA)
  • Customer satisfaction of SKIDATA customers.
    • You provide service that not only meets agreements, but also exceeds customer expectations.
    • You are the first point of contact for (a group of) customers for issues, escalations and complaints.
    • You ensure good internal and external communication with and about customers.
  • Correct invoicing for the services performed.

What we expect from you as a Field Service Manager:

  • You have at least a higher professional education (HBO) work and thinking level, for example in business administration or technical business administration, and at least 5 years of management experience in a similar position.
  • You are in possession of a VCA VOL certificate or are willing to obtain one.
  • You have a strong affinity with information technology and experience with ICT platforms.
  • You have a strong and energetic personality with good communication skills (oral and written) in Dutch and English.
  • Position is full-time
  • This role requires you to regularly visit our clients. We expect you to be on the road approximately 40% of the time.
