The Supply Chain Manager plays a critical role in overseeing and optimizing end-to-end supply chain processes. This position involves strategic planning, coordination, and execution to ensure the efficient flow of goods and services from suppliers to customers. The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and maintaining high levels of product quality.

Main activities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand market trends, customer demand, and business goals.
  • Forecast future demand and plan inventory levels accordingly.

Supplier Management:

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and agreements.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement continuous improvement strategies.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure an optimal balance between customer demand and holding costs.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
  • Develop and maintain efficient inventory replenishment processes.

Logistics and Distribution:

  • Manage transportation and distribution networks to optimize efficiency and reduce delivery times.
  • Select and manage third-party logistics partners.
  • Implement and optimize distribution and fulfillment strategies.

Qualities:

  • Drive Purchasing and Production & Logistics processes and all related tasks (supplier non-conformities, monitoring of indicators, etc.).
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the supply chain.
  • Implement best practices to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Use technology and data analytics to drive continuous improvement.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and assess potential risks within the supply chain.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Monitor external factors that may impact the supply chain, such as geopolitical events and regulatory changes.

Management:

  • Recruit and lead a team of buyers and preparation and logistics technicians.
  • Foster collaboration and communication between different departments, including purchasing, production and sales.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to address challenges and optimize processes.

IT Tools:

  • Express the department's needs in order to have efficient tools for supply chain management.
  • Feed and update the company's ERP with regard to Products.
