Business Development Manager (Sydney, AU)
Park Assist®, part of the TKH Group, is one of Australia’s genuine start-up success stories - a pioneering leader in the parking industry, specialising in camera-based parking guidance systems. Founded in Australia and now headquartered in Amsterdam, we are the world’s leading innovator in intelligent parking solutions. Our technology helps users effortlessly find parking spaces and locate their vehicles, while empowering parking operators with tools to enhance customer satisfaction, optimise operational control, and expand CCTV capabilities.
We’re now looking for a Business Development Manager to join the global leader in intelligent parking technology and own major enterprise accounts across Australia.
The Role
You’ll join a high-performing APAC sales team based in Sydney (Zetland), working closely with the APAC GM and local management team, technical sales support and project delivery to bring smart parking and security solutions to our clients (property groups, airports, and large-scale retail). Your focus will be on building new relationships, driving enhancements for existing clients, and selling solutions that deliver real operational value.
This is a classic end to end, solution selling role where you’ll be well-supported by our local team, have access to deep industry relationships, and inherit a pipeline of active opportunities. We expect your role to focus on:
- Owning the sales process: Qualify leads, build relationships, manage bids and tenders, and close deals – from initial contact through to contract execution.
- Introducing new parking guidance and surveillance systems and expanding our footprint into previously untapped accounts.
- Identifying and converting enhancement projects, software subscriptions, maintenance agreements, and field equipment refreshes.
- Partnering closely with our technical sales support, project delivery, and client services teams.
- Developing in-depth knowledge of the TKH Parking Guidance solution and our market, including the features & benefits, pricing & market conditions to ensure overall success.
- Ensuring all client interactions and opportunities are tracked in Dynamics CRM.
What we’re looking for:
- Demonstrated success (more than 5 years) in a comparable B2B enterprise sales role, ideally with long procurement cycles and capex-led purchasing decisions, in tech, infrastructure, or related hardware/software environments.
- Proven experience selling into complex organisations, with a consultative, relationship-led approach. Experience selling property, airports, retail or infrastructure would be highly beneficial.
- Track record of leveraging your network and market intelligence platforms to generate and qualify leads.
- Highly effective communication skills, including negotiation, mentoring and presenting to groups. Ideally, you will have demonstrated your ability to become a trusted advisor in prior roles.
- Strong relationship-building skills, combined with commercial acumen to identify opportunities within existing accounts and potential new customers.
- An entrepreneurial, self-motivated approach, enabling you to develop effective strategies to ensure you achieve your targets.
- Someone based in Sydney, with unrestricted Australian work rights. (The role is hybrid – 2–3 days in the office, plus travel approximately 2-3 days per month (primarily domestic and the annual global sales conference).
This is a high-autonomy role with direct influence on our commercial success. You’ll be backed by a highly experienced APAC team from day one and with a clear career path to leadership, if that’s your goal.
We value initiative, flexibility, good ideas, and great people. We’re serious about what we do, work closely together and enjoy our work.
- You'll work alongside an experienced team in Sydney, and occasionally the EU and US. This is a role with a genuine global market leader, with a clear path to sales leadership for the right person, including building out the department, bringing new offerings to market, and expanding into new regions like Southeast Asia.
- We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and are committed to cultivating diversity in our teams.
- We recognise that the best ideas come from allowing the unique background, skills and personality of the individual to shine through.
- Park Assist is a family. We are a team that chats, works, codes, listens to music, thinks, laughs and works together.
We value hard work, good fun, results, celebrating success, the work-life balance, creativity, flexibility, productivity, new ideas, independent thinking, the entrepreneurial spirit, and above all, we value good people. Your approach, your attitude, and your initiative are what counts.
