IT Manager (Eindhoven, NL)


As an ICT Manager at WPS Parking Systems you fulfill a coordinating and leading role with regard to information provision, IT Security, but also with regard to the (further) development and implementation of our IT policy. This applies to our head office located in Eindhoven as well as to our foreign branches within and outside Europe. You have a guiding, inspiring and monitoring role with regard to the Functional Manager (direct report) in the context of the realization of the information provision. Initiating optimization processes gives you the energy you need. With a view to the trends & developments in the market, you know better than anyone how to implement improvements and create support within the business. Experience in the role of project manager is an advantage. In short, a versatile hands-on function on a tactical and strategic level! Within this position, your contribution is highly valued and you set the standards for our (international) IT policy and successes in the future! In this position you will work closely with and report directly to the Chief Finance Officer. This challenging position is a combination of the roles ICT manager, Information manager and Security Officer.

Content of the function

  • Developing and formulating the information policy and the information strategy, as a derivative of the business strategy and needs;
  • Coordinating the development of the information plan and the information architecture;
  • Analyzing trends & developments in the environment and translating these developments into consequences for the IT organization/policy;
  • Drawing up requirements with regard to the organization of the information provision and the information management;
  • Managing the IT process whereby WPS employees are provided access to data, applications, systems and technological resources;
  • Formulating the policy with regard to external ICT suppliers (management organization) and managing these suppliers;
  • Ensuring an optimal fit between the business processes and the supporting information provision;
  • Keeping the management organization and the management plan with associated SLAs, processes and procedures up-to-date;
  • Draws up acceptance criteria for ICT systems for new services, systems, platforms and applications to be managed;
  • Prepare and submit the annual budget for investments in the provision of information and monitor the budget expenditure;
  • Preparation of progress reports on the implementation of the information plan and individual IT projects;
  • Managing the quality and professionalization of the information provision;
  • Supervising internal and external audit for certifications;
  • Ensure adequate drafting and implementation of the information security policy, including awareness and training for employees.

Your qualities

For this varied and challenging position, we are looking for a colleague with at least HBO work and thinking level, preferably with a completed education in information science, business administration or computer science. Experience in a technical environment is of added value to us, looking at our core business. You have several years of work experience in the field of business information management at the interface between business and IT. You also have the following expertise:

  • Knowledge of methods and standards in the field of business information management, information planning and information architecture;
  • Hands-on experience with computer networking, network management and network installation;
  • Experience with project management (Prince2) and process-oriented working (ITIL, BiSL).

In terms of personal qualities, we are looking for someone who is decisive, enterprising and proactive. You can deal with conflicts of interest, you have good communication skills and you have political/administrative insight. Because you have frequent contact with our colleagues and suppliers abroad, your English, in addition to Dutch, is fluent in word and writing. Finally, you have a hands-on and service-oriented mentality and you are not afraid of additional operational tasks every now and then, since WPS has a small IT organization (2 FTE).
