Civica announces its interim results

Trading Performance

During the period, turnover was L49.6 million. Operating profits before amortisation, exceptional items and Long Term Incentive Plan ("LTIP") charges rose to L5.5 million, ahead of expectations as reflected by budgets for the full financial year. The focus on owned software related activities supported a growth in operating margins to 11.2% (2004: 8.4%). Basic earnings per share grew to 6.4p. The statutory operating profit was L1.8 million (2004: L0.7 million).

Acquisition

The Company is pleased to announce separately today its acquisition of Flare Software Systems (UK) Ltd., a specialist supplier of information systems and related services for UK local government, for a total maximum consideration of L9 million.
