New credit and debit card parking machines must be Chip and PIN equipped - it's official
As CreditCall announced at last week's Parkex exhibition and industry conference, any new installations of credit and debit card equipped parking machines must be able to process an EMV transaction.
This means the terminal, both Pay-and-Display and Pay-on Foot types, must be equipped with Chip and PIN.
As one of the UK’s main providers of credit card payment service providers for the parking industry, CreditCall are pleased to inform about recent changes to European banking regulations which could affect operators when ordering new Pay-and Display or Pay-on-Foot parking machines in future.

Operators are urged to ensure that when ordering any new card-capable machines, it is specified to the manufacturer that they are equipped to handle Chip and PIN transactions. The manufacturer will be able to provide details of lead times and prices for the new generation machines.
