Saba, on time for its appointment with the property sector at BMP

Throughout the last seven years, since 1997, Saba has seen the spectacular growth of what can now be considered the most important International Property Show and Symposium in Europe. Since the first event, Saba has been present in the General Public Hall, where it shows professionals from the sector the nature of its management and service, which have made it the top company in the sector in Spain.

This year's BMP, which was opened by Francisco lvarez-Cascos, Minister of Public Works, has continued to expand in size, with a surface area of 45,000 square metres of trade fair exhibition and Symposium and with 600 exhibitors split between the Professional Hall and the General Public Hall. In total, BMP has had exhibitors from 52 countries and has paid special attention to countries like Portugal, Poland and the Latin American countries.

The International Symposium, with more than 100 speakers, is a space reserved for the exchange of ideas between leading figures in the sector. This year, the following speakers, attended, among others: Jordi Canals, Director of the IESE; Hartwig Glatzky, International Director of Banco Eurohypo; Álvaro Portela, Chairman of Sonae Imobiliária and Richard Mully, the European Director of the Soros group. This year's event brought together a new record number of visitors - as many as 185,000, of whom 18,000 were professionals from the sector. At the opening, the minister confirmed the strength of a sector which "in the last seven years has created 840,000 jobs, 20% of the employment generated by the Spanish economy".
