A JANUARY INSTALLATION OF MORE AURAS

Perth and Kinross Council will install their latest Metric Aura pay and display parking machines in January.
They have purchased a further 10 mains powered Auras to add to the 30 they bought earlier in the year.

Perth and Kinross has over 200 Metric pay and display machines, mainly on street, from Autoslots to Accents and S3s and now the new Aura.

All the latest machines are for Perth though the total number is spread over Perth and four country towns Crieff, Pitlochry, Dunkeld and Blairgowrie.

The council has an on-going programme to replace older Autoslots in Perth and the country towns with the new Aura over the next 18 months to two years.

Parking Superintendent Richard Valentine said the Council had no complaints about the Autoslot which was still going strong.

However, it was the plan to replace them all and once that had been completed the older Accents would be updated with the Aura which users had found to be a customer friendly parking machine.
