Abel Sensors develops and produces intelligent parking systems through sensors with which bicycle parking facilities can be used more efficiently. This system recognizes and counts bicycles and also detects available parking spots.
This makes it easier for cyclists to use parking spaces, because visitors can be guided to free parking spaces or unused bikes can be identified by park owners.
In August, this year, together with Westfälische Bauindustrie GmbH, Abel Sensors delivered a detection system for 1800 bicycle racks. Visitors who travel by bike can not only reserve a parking spot, but can now also pay directly, while being guided to their reserved parking spot with the new system of Abel Sensors.
Below, a personal quote from Pieter Hansum, Sales Director at Abel Sensors:
“Our mission is to provide products and services that make businesses, governments and people's lives more efficient and sustainable. Abel Sensors successfully facilitates the use of bicycles with the Smart Parking for Bikes solution. We want to show cities, governments and users how bicycle use and infrastructure can be improved.”
