Accra International Airport Plans New 2,000-Space Multi-Storey Car Park
A new mixed-use development planned at Accra International Airport in Ghana will add more than 2,000 parking spaces alongside hotel, retail and entertainment facilities.
The project will include a seven-storey car park designed to expand parking capacity for passengers and other airport users. It forms part of a wider initiative to upgrade the airport environment and is scheduled to move into construction following a ceremony on August 27, 2026.
Alongside the parking facility, the development is set to include two hotels and a pedestrian connection providing direct access between the complex and the airport terminal.
Commercial facilities will also be incorporated into the project, including a shopping mall with retail units, a food court and office space available for lease. Additional leisure elements are planned in the form of a sky lounge and an observation area overlooking aircraft movements at the airport.
The project follows the relocation of the existing Terminal 3 car park to create space for the new development. Construction is expected to take approximately 24 months to complete.
