Amano McGann and Metric Join Forces

Minneapolis – Amano, the leading provider of off-street parking automation in the United States, announces a partnership with Metric, the United Kingdom’s leading on-street, multi-space parking meter provider. Under the new agreement Amano is now Metric’s exclusive sales and distribution channel for North, South and Central America.

This new, strategic alliance provides a combined solution that enables parking operators to manage their on- and off-street parking from a single location, and have the entire solution supported by the largest and most geographically diverse service organization in the industry.

“Our exclusive partnership with Metric Parking enables us to offer our customers a flexible, multi-space meter solution that seamlessly integrates with our iParcProfessional Revenue System,” explained Joe Survance, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Amano McGann. “This solution benefits both parking patrons and operators alike, in both private and municipal markets.”

The integrated Amano-Metric solution gives parking patrons the convenience of paying by phone, city card, cash, credit or debit card. At the same time, it provides operators with tariff management and consolidated reporting, transaction, and statistical data for superior audit control and management.

“For us, it’s a perfect partnership. We wanted to replicate the success we’ve enjoyed throughout Europe in the U.S. market, and Amano is the ideal partner to help us achieve that goal,” said Peter Aylward, Managing Director of Metric Group. “Amano’s wide geographic reach, in addition to its leadership position in multiple vertical markets across the nation, will give Metric the leverage and product visibility we need. Working together, we can gain significant traction in the U.S. multi-meter market.”

With more parking operators and municipalities running both on-street and off-street parking, there’s a growing demand for a way to look at the entire parking operation as a unit. Reconciliation and auditing become key to efficient management. The alliance between Amano and Metric will enhance revenue collection and streamline audit trails, giving operators a more comprehensive view of their businesses without manual calculation. They literally can manage their combined operations in a single view.

“For today’s parking operators, integration is key, because it gives them a unified view of their business, their revenue and their cash flow,” Survance explained. “By working with a market leader like Metric and orchestrating integration between on-street and off-street parking, we deliver greater value to our customers, while enabling them to create a better experience for their patrons.”
