APCOA Acquires UK Parking Patrol
APCOA, a leading parking and smart mobility services provider, today announced the acquisition of UK Parking Patrol (UKPP), one of the UK’s leading parking enforcement providers. The acquisition further strengthens APCOA’s parking enforcement capabilities and expands its client base in the UK market. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
UKPP will continue to operate as a stand-alone business within APCOA UK. It will retain its established identity, team and client relationships and ensure continuity of service for its clients across various industries including airports, events and retail. UKPP Managing Director Steve Cheetham will remain involved as an Associate during the transition, working with both teams to support a smooth handover in the coming months.
For more than 15 years, UKPP has provided professional parking enforcement services to clients across the UK, supporting a diverse range of sites including retail parks, arenas, airports, commercial premises and other private parking facilities. Its services complement APCOA’s parking management and technology solutions, including staffed parking enforcement, car park management and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) systems.
Kim Challis, Regional Managing Director of APCOA UK & Ireland, said: “UKPP has built a strong business over the past 15 years, underpinned by high-quality service and trusted client relationships. Bringing UKPP and APCOA together combines those strengths with APCOA’s scale, operational reach, parking management and ANPR technology capabilities. We remain focused on a seamless transition with the existing team to ensure continuity for UKPP’s day-to-day service and client contacts.”
Steve Cheetham, Managing Director of UKPP, said: “We have built UKPP on the pillars of service, quality and strong client relationships. Joining APCOA is a natural next step for the business, giving our team access to broader technology, expertise and resources to serve our clients, while creating new opportunities for UKPP’s continued development.”
The acquisition supports APCOA’s strategy of building a broader, technology-enabled parking offer and represents a further step in the growth of APCOA’s market-leading UK business, expanding its parking enforcement offering and strengthening its capabilities through the complementary expertise.
