Cross-border parkings saw a massive surge in 2026, according to new data released by Arrive, a leading global mobility platform. As trips across borders continue to rise in popularity across Europe drivers are increasingly relying on unified digital solutions to navigate parking and charging seamlessly across borders.

Arrives latest mobility metrics highlight a strong appetite for drivable tourism, with drivers crossing borders and traveling by car in record numbers. Between 2024-2026 there has been a total increase of 90% in cross border parkings in Europe. ”This increase is naturally driven by our expanding coverage, where the EasyPark app have grown substantially over the past few years. When benchmarked against everyday local parking trends, however, cross-border parking shows a clear spike and is growing faster than regular parkings”, says Scott Booker, General Manager Parking Arrive.

In Europe Italy claimed the top spot as the most popular cross-border parking destination, registering over 2.7 million international parking sessions January through July this year.
