Bolidt Completes Refurbishment Project at Helicon Car Park in The Hague

Bolidt has collaborated with Interparking to upgrade the Helicon car park in The Hague. Completed in just a two month period the car park was transformed into a customer and environmentally friendly parking facility.

The Helicon car park is an above ground facility with three parking levels. The parking levels are connected by straight, two-way ramps, and for the most part, the car park provides column-free parking. The entrance of the car park has one entry and one exit lane, and the speed gates have been replaced by barriers which have improved the accessibility of the garage and entrance.

The parking facility is managed by Interparking, one of the four biggest car park operators in Europe, responsible for more than 900 parking facilities across nine European countries. You can immediately see that the Helicon is an Interparking car park from its high-quality interior. It is well lit, coated to the highest standard with clear markings including pictograms and color schemes per level.

Edwin Lund, Project Manager at Interparking explains how they chose Bolidt, “Based on a comprehensive programme of requirements, we invited bids from multiple parties. Looking at price and quality, their plan of action and the guarantees provided, Bolidt came out best. It was a challenging task, to be completed over a summer period and other suppliers also carried out works. Bolidt proved flexible in handling this and was happy to explore options to meet our wishes.”
