Örebro hospital introduces smart handling of parking permits for personnel

On 5th November, Örebro hospital introduced advanced technology from Cale for the better handling of personnel parking. A terminal has been installed in the hospital’s reception for this purpose. The terminal is locked for everyone who does not have a special personnel card.

The system has been integrated with Cale WebOffice 2, where information on 7,000 employees’ personnel cards has been imported, and which will be updated on an ongoing basis.

How to purchase a monthly or yearly parking permit*:

1. The customer validates his personnel card at a contactless reader on the CWT Compact terminal. This unlocks the terminal.
2. The customer enters his registration number (maximum 2 cars). Ticketless parking will be possible at a later stage.
3. The customer chooses the type of permit (monthly, yearly, etc). He then pays by card (MasterCard or VISA).

The security company Securitas takes care of enforcement, for which it uses the CWO 2 mobile application from Cale.

Buying the parking permit at the terminal instead of via a form on the intranet, which was previously the case, is much more flexible. Firstly, the customer gets the ticket immediately and does not need to wait for administration and distribution of the permit. Secondly, you can now buy a permit at any time during the month, whereas previously only calendar months were handled. The same applies to yearly permits.

Another advantage becomes apparent if the permit is lost. The parking warden can check the registration number and thereby verify that the ticket is paid for. At the hospital’s reception, a new receipt can be printed using the CWO user role “reception”.
