ChargePoint and Mercedes-Benz Expand Partnership with End-to-End Fleet Charging Solution
ChargePoint and Mercedes-Benz have expanded their partnership in the UK and Germany to offer businesses an integrated approach to fleet electrification, combining electric vehicles with charging infrastructure and related services.
Rather than requiring companies to coordinate several suppliers when introducing workplace charging, the partnership brings the different stages of deployment together. ChargePoint will support customers with site assessment and infrastructure planning, followed by installation, operation and ongoing servicing of the charging equipment.
The charging infrastructure can include both AC and DC hardware alongside ChargePoint's fleet charging software and smart energy management technology. These tools can help businesses manage site power demand, monitor charging activity and analyse energy consumption and associated costs.
Additional energy technologies, including solar photovoltaic systems and battery energy storage, can also be incorporated into charging installations where required.
Nico Dettmer, Global Head of Mercedes-Benz Charging Solutions stated that the collaboration is intended to address one of the practical challenges businesses face when transitioning fleets to electric vehicles: establishing suitable charging infrastructure alongside vehicle procurement. By integrating hardware, software, installation and operational support, Mercedes-Benz and ChargePoint aim to simplify deployment while helping fleet operators maintain vehicle availability and manage total operating costs.
For Mercedes-Benz, workplace charging forms part of a wider charging ecosystem alongside home and public charging options available to its business customers.
The companies plan to introduce the offering in additional markets later in 2026.
