ChargePoint Launches 600 kW Express Solo Standalone EV Charger
ChargePoint has introduced a new ultra-fast DC charging solution aimed at reducing charging times and supporting the next generation of electric vehicles.
The system, known as Express Solo, is a standalone charger capable of delivering up to 600 kW of power. According to ChargePoint, this positions it among the highest-capacity chargers currently available for broad deployment.
Express Solo is designed as a single-unit solution with integrated power electronics, eliminating the need for a separate power cabinet. This approach is intended to simplify installation and enable deployment in a wider range of locations, including sites where space or infrastructure may be limited.
The charger is built to support both current and future electric vehicles, including those with higher voltage architectures that can take advantage of faster charging speeds. ChargePoint states that the system is engineered to deliver high power output for vehicles capable of accepting it, helping reduce the time required to recharge.
The company highlights use cases such as fleet operations, highway corridors, and urban charging hubs, where fast turnaround times are essential. The standalone design also allows operators to scale installations more flexibly based on demand.
In addition to the hardware, Express Solo is connected to ChargePoint’s software platform, enabling features such as remote monitoring, maintenance, and energy management.
The launch reflects ongoing efforts across the EV industry to expand high-power charging infrastructure and improve charging convenience as adoption continues to grow.
