Clemson University to Begin Construction on $80 Million Parking Garage

Clemson University is preparing to break ground on a major infrastructure project — an $80 million parking garage set to be built on Centennial Boulevard. The garage will be located near the university’s R-6 parking lot, providing much-needed capacity to accommodate Clemson’s growing campus and student population.
The structure is designed to hold around 3,000 vehicles and is expected to be completed by the end of 2026. This project is part of a broader effort to improve mobility and support the ongoing development across Clemson’s main campus.
The new garage is funded through a public-private partnership and will include both standard and electric vehicle charging spaces. According to university officials, this facility will also help offset parking losses due to upcoming construction elsewhere on campus.
Early site preparation is already underway, with full construction expected to begin later this year.
