CUBOS Acquires TotalEnergies’ German Business Charging Operations

The transaction adds approximately 6,000 AC and DC charging points to Cubos’ portfolio

German energy services provider CUBOS has acquired TotalEnergies’ business-to-business electric vehicle charging activities in Germany, strengthening its position in the country’s commercial and fleet charging market.

The transaction covers approximately 6,000 AC and DC charging points installed across business locations. The AC chargers are primarily deployed at workplaces, employee parking facilities and fleet depots, while the DC infrastructure serves sites with higher charging demand.

Following the acquisition, CUBOS expects to operate around 15,000 charging points at more than 1,000 business customer locations across Germany. The company said the enlarged portfolio moves it closer to its objective of becoming one of the country’s three largest charge point operators.

Existing TotalEnergies customers will continue to receive charging services under their current agreements. Contracts will remain in place, while the charging assets and customer accounts will be transferred gradually to the CUBOS operating platform.

CUBOS plans to offer the acquired customer base a broader range of energy services, combining EV charging infrastructure with its own hardware and software, photovoltaic installations and battery storage systems. The company intends to manage these technologies as integrated energy systems designed to help businesses control costs and support their decarbonisation strategies.

All employees associated with TotalEnergies’ German fleet charging activities will transfer as part of the deal, increasing the CUBOS workforce to approximately 500 people.

The acquisition is CUBOS’ third major expansion transaction within six months. In December 2025, the company acquired parts of Swarco Traffic Systems’ German e-mobility operations, including more than 1,000 charging points. It subsequently purchased the ChargeOne business in April 2026, adding approximately 3,500 further charging points.

Financial terms of the latest transaction have not been disclosed.
