Daktronics Appoints Matt Kurtenbach as Vice President of Manufacturing

Daktronics Inc. (Nasdaq DAKT) is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Kurtenbach as Vice President of Manufacturing.
Kurtenbach began his career at Daktronics in 1988 while a student at South Dakota State University, working at its subsidiary Star Circuits Inc., a manufacturer of printed circuit boards. After graduation Kurtenbach was the General Manager of Star Circuits for three years. He then became the Project Manager for process improvement and facility expansion at Daktronics, and became Manufacturing Manager in 2001. Daktronics manufacturing operations consist of five final assembly plants along with metal fabrication and electronic assembly. Daktronics currently employs approximately 900 people in manufacturing.

In addition to his manufacturing responsibilities, Kurtenbach has been responsible for numerous building expansion projects with the most recent being a 110,000 square foot addition to the manufacturing plant, which was completed in summer 2006.

Kurtenbach is a graduate of South Dakota State University, where he earned his bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering in 1992 and his Master of Science degree in Industrial Management in 2000.
