En route to the future of E-mobility

DESIGNA has integrated an electrical charging station into
the PM ABACUS system, and is already preparing its
customers for the technology of tomorrow.
Environmentally friendly technology and the keyword electromobility are hot topics at present, and the majority of car manufacturers are investing research and development in a low-emission electric car.

DESIGNA is also devoting itself to this subject, and is making a contribution to reducing emissions by integrating an E-filling station.

"Even though environmentally friendly vehicles are not yet a dominating force on the market, we are reacting to this promising development in order to support our customers with the relevant technology in good time" says DESIGNA product manager Peter Czembor. "We are currently working on integrating an electric filling station in the PM ABACUS system", continues Czembor.

DESIGNA is campaigning for the provision of the infrastructure that is needed to charge up on the mains under the slogan 'Park & Charge'. The prototype that has been developed is an integral constituent of the PM ABACUS system, and calculates the amount to be paid at the pay machine using the amount of energy emitted by the charging station.

It works like this: The customer simply parks his vehicle at an E-filling station in the multi-storey car park and connects up using a charging cable. The charging procedure is easy to select and start using the operating console. Payment is made using the existing pay machines of the parking system.

The owner/operator of the multi-storey car park can subsequently evaluate and monitor the system using the comprehensive reporting and statistics tools of the PM ABACUS system.
