DESIGNA: A Low-Impact Access Solution for Schloss Hotel Mönchstein
No bright lights. No noise. No standard setup.
At the Schloss Hotel Mönchstein in Salzburg, parking couldn’t be implemented the usual way. The site sits within a protected natural area. Which means strict limitations on lighting, acoustics and overall system visibility. Exactly the elements most parking setups rely on.
So the solution had to work differently.
We implemented a setup that combines a classic ticket flow for external visitors with automated access for hotel guests and long-term parkers via license plate recognition. No unnecessary interaction. No disruption of the environment.
What’s installed on site:
- Designa CONNECT LANE 600 FULL IN as the entry terminal
- Designa CONNECT GATE 600 for controlled access
- LPR cameras for automatic identification
- Designa CONNECT PAY 500 CASHLESS for payment
All of this runs within a compact, single-lane layout handling both directions.
What makes this project interesting is not its size.
It’s the constraint.
Designing a parking system that works reliably without relying on light, sound or standard signaling changes how you think about user flow and system logic.
Not more technology.
Just the right setup for the environment.
