Digital Payment Technologies Corp. Announces Real-Time Credit Card Processing via the Internet

"Our EMS customers can now get an authorization number before issuing a receipt, eliminating bad card transactions and saving 2-5% of loss," said Rob V. Lanier Parking Systems is the first company to use the new capability. "Now that our credit card losses will drop to zero, the advantages of being online significantly add to our bottom line."

The Enterprise Management System communicates directly with Digital Payment’s Intella-Pay Payment Stations via any combination of hardwired Ethernet, 802.11 WiFi or GSM modems. Transaction and operational data are sent in real-time to the EMS where customers can run reports, have messages sent to cell phones or pagers, and send information to credit card processors for authorization. Digital Payment has partnered with Concord, now part of First Data in order to provide this solution for customers. "Digital Payment is keeping the costs to a minimum by working directly with us," said Michael Gilmore, Senior Account Representative. "There are no additional per transaction gateway fees because the transactions are coming directly to our processing center."
