Convenience, Economy, Choice: FlexPass gives New Meaning to “Change for Parking”

The Christmas shopping season is bringing many more people into downtown Vancouver each day, and if they have a lot of people on their list, they’ll be faced with the question, “where do I park?”

EasyPark has the answer, introducing FlexPass, a permanent, reloadable card that entitles the holder to park cash-free at one of six premier locations in downtown Vancouver.

“FlexPass truly makes parking easy,” says EasyPark CEO Nigel Bullers. “Many people don’t drive their cars downtown on a regular basis but from time to time they have to, be it for business, shopping or an event. FlexPass gives them the freedom to bring their vehicle downtown when they need to and save money on parking.”

With the economy of a 10 percent discount over regular parking rates, ease of use and the convenience of transferability and online reloading and balance verification, a FlexPass makes a unique and welcome stocking stuffer. Customers have a choice, too, of getting a wallet-sized plastic “physical” card or downloading a digital card to their smartphone.

FlexPass is a departure from the current system, where one either pays monthly rental on a permanent parking stall or full price for an unreserved space. A FlexPass holder simply drives into an EasyPark Premier parking lot, takes a ticket and then presents the FlexPass – either the hard card or the smartphone code – to the attendant when paying.

The FlexPass can be used at these Premier EasyPark lots: Lot 1, Bentall V (535 Hornby – except weekends), Lot 7, Chinatown Plaza (140 Keefer), Lot 9, Pacific Centre, Lot 19, 900 West Cordova, Lot 27, Library Square (777 Hamilton) and Lots 31 in Gastown (160 Water St. & 150 West Cordova).
