EasyPark Group expands into Slovenia with acquisition of 4Egenus

EasyPark Group today announced it is expanding its extensive European coverage network even further, with the acquisition of Slovenian mobile technology company, 4Egenus. Through the acquisition, EasyPark gains distribution in an additional 10 cities, consolidating the company’s position as leader of digital parking services in Europe.

EasyPark Group CEO, Johan Birgersson, said that the acquisition of 4Egenus is an important step forward into eastern Europe, and makes Slovenia the 13th country worldwide to have EasyPark service coverage.

The acquisition of 4Egenus demonstrates the rapid growth trajectory EasyPark continues to drive forward in 2018. Along with 4Egenus, my team are committed to delivering the same outstanding services to motorists, parking operators and municipalities in Slovenia that EasyPark has become well known for right across Europe,” he said.

4Egenus founder and CEO, Uros Maklic, said that he is excited to be joining forces with EasyPark and is looking forward to expanding the 4Egenus offering.

As one of Slovenia’s most innovative tech companies, it’s an exciting moment for 4Egenus to be teaming up with global player that shares our vision and ambition. Users of our MobilePark MP app will soon be able to use the service when travelling throughout Europe, while parking operators and cities across Slovenia will now gain access to the full suite of EasyPark’s innovative services,” he said.

EasyPark users will now be able to use the app in the popular destinations of Maribor, Bled and Piran and more. Birgersson anticipates that the migration of MobilePark MP users to the EasyPark app will be completed within a few months.

“EasyPark is a company with global ambitions, and we have made it our mission to make cities more liveable right around the world by reducing the amount of time and effort wasted on parking. We will continue to deliver cutting-edge services to help operators to increase their occupancy rates while simultaneously improving traffic flow for cities as we expand our coverage network this year and beyond,” concluded Birgersson.
