Electrify America Launches Its Largest EV Charging Hub in Orlando, Florida

The new facility offers 24 high-powered charging points and strengthens EV charging infrastructure

Electrify America has expanded its public EV charging network with the opening of a new charging hub in Orlando, Florida. Featuring 24 charging points capable of delivering up to 350 kW each, the facility is the company's largest charging location to date.

The development is part of Electrify America's continued investment in high-powered charging infrastructure, aimed at improving accessibility and supporting the growing number of electric vehicles on US roads.

Supporting EV Drivers Across Orlando's Key Destinations

The charging hub is situated along a major transportation corridor connecting Interstate 4, Orlando International Airport and popular tourist destinations, including Walt Disney World and Universal Studios.

Its location is intended to accommodate a broad range of EV drivers, from Orlando residents to visitors and motorists travelling through Central Florida.

With 24 high-powered charging points available at a single location, the facility provides additional charging capacity in an area that experiences significant regional and tourist traffic.

Each charger offers a maximum power output of 350 kW and is equipped with a Combined Charging System (CCS) connector. While CCS remains widely used by electric vehicles, the North American Charging Standard (NACS), associated with Tesla vehicles, is gaining adoption among other automotive manufacturers.

Electrify America is also evaluating the integration of NACS connectors through pilot installations at selected charging locations.

Further Expansion Planned in Florida

The Orlando opening strengthens Electrify America's existing presence in Florida, where the company operates more than 60 charging stations.

Further expansion is already planned, with another charging facility featuring 10 chargers expected to open in Orlando in the coming months.

Across its wider network, Electrify America focuses on DC fast charging, offering charging equipment rated at either 150 kW or 350 kW. The company was also an early adopter of liquid-cooled charging cables for 350 kW systems in the United States.

Growing a Nationwide High-Powered Charging Network

Electrify America currently operates more than 5,600 individual DC fast chargers across approximately 1,080 charging stations in North America, including facilities operated under the Electrify Canada brand.

The company was originally established as part of Volkswagen's commitments to support electric mobility following its diesel emissions scandal. Since then, it has developed into one of the country's major public fast-charging network operators.

The latest Orlando development also reflects a broader shift towards larger charging facilities capable of accommodating more vehicles simultaneously.

According to Paren's third-quarter 2026 EV charging report, Electrify America is among the operators developing some of the largest non-Tesla charging locations in the United States. By comparison, the report found that 71% of ChargePoint locations and 74% of Blink locations had two charging ports or fewer.

By increasing the number of available charging points at individual sites, developments such as the new Orlando hub could help improve charging accessibility and accommodate growing demand along busy travel routes.
