Eternity Technologies Completes GSE Charging Network Across 41 AENA Airports

- Barcelona, Spain
The airport-wide deployment supports more than 2,000 ground support vehicles with over 1,100 DC chargers and centralised charging management.

Eternity Technologies has completed the rollout of a Ground Support Equipment (GSE) charging network across 41 airports operated by AENA in Spain.

The project provides charging management for 2,080 GSE vehicles used by 58 ground handling operators. The infrastructure includes 1,106 DC chargers, comprising 451 dual charging stations and 66 single charging stations, alongside the replacement of 136 existing DC chargers.

The programme covered the supply, installation and commissioning of charging equipment across multiple airport locations, followed by final certification. Installation and commissioning activities took place between September 2023 and March 2024, while final acceptance and certification were completed in July 2026.

Alongside the physical charging infrastructure, the project includes a web-based platform for managing and monitoring charging operations. The system supports GSE identification and charging control, energy consumption monitoring, management of operators and users, charging-session reporting and integration with SAP ERP.

With the project now formally completed, the charging infrastructure supports the operation of electric ground handling equipment across AENA's airport network and provides a centralised system for monitoring charging activity and energy use.
