Federal APD is CISP Compliant
Federal APD, Inc. a manufacturer of Parking, Access and Revenue Control System Solutions is now compliant with Visa’s Cardholder Information Security Program (CISP). CISP is an initiative that requires merchants and related payment processing companies to take specific measures to secure customer data to help prevent fraud.
In June 2005, Federal APD initiated the necessary measures to protect against cardholder data exposure. We did this company-wide, with all products sensitive to the credit card process.
Federal APD has implemented the digital encryption standard (3DES) scheme that encrypts the personal credit card user information in the database. We utilized Microsoft NT encryption standards to protect our software Parking Management System (ScanNet). The American Bankers Association (ABA) standards were used to encrypt all data transmitted from our program.
By complying with the CISP requirements Federal APD is placing data security as a routine part of our risk management and IT infrastructure mindset.
