- Edinburgh, United Kingdom
Fire at Edinburgh Airport Car Park

A significant fire broke out at a multi-storey car park near Edinburgh Airport last weeek, prompting a swift response from emergency services.

The blaze started around 6:15 p.m. in a rental car parking area on Jubilee Road. Eight fire engines and additional specialized units were dispatched to contain the incident.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that vehicles were on fire within the structure and crews worked to bring the flames under control. The operation was ongoing late into the evening.

A spokesperson for the airport said the fire occurred in an external car park and that while some delays were expected, flights were continuing as scheduled.

Travelers were advised to check with their airlines and allow extra time if heading to the airport. Police also closed nearby roads and asked the public to avoid the area.

Authorities have not reported any injuries and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
