Fritz Mumenthaler, new General Manager of Wireless Solutions

Ascom Holding AG has appointed an internationally experienced manager as the new General Manager of its Wireless Solutions division. Fritz Mumenthaler was previously Head of Zone Europe of the Building Automation Division at Siemens Building Technologies in Zug.
Fritz Mumenthaler, who will also join the Executive Board, will take over from Daniel Roth, who is leaving the company in order to pursue a change of career, on 1 June 2005.

Ascom has engaged a new General Manager of its Wireless Solutions division and has appointed an experienced manager with a broad-based international background as the division‘s new General Manager. Fritz Mumenthaler will take up his new position on 1 June 2005, from which date he will assume full responsibility for the division’s business. His predecessor, Daniel Roth, is leaving the division to pursue a change of career.

Wireless Solutions is one of Ascom’s two core divisions and focuses on the development and integration of wireless on-site communica-tions solutions with an emphasis on the health and elderly care sector, industry and secure establishments. In 2004 the division achieved an operating profit of CHF 39m from a turnover of CHF 273m.
Mumenthaler.jpgFritz Mumenthaler has an extensive international experience as Head of Zone Europe and previously Head of Marketing Europe with the Building Automation Division of Siemens Building Technologies, where for many years he was responsible for the building automation division’s marketing and business development within the European health sector. Fritz Mumenthaler will continue to drive forward Wireless Solutions’ growth strategy.
