Get My Parking Introduces App-less and Touchless Parking with PAYG

Get My Parking has announced a new PayG (Pay as You Go) feature

Award-winning mobility start-up Get My Parking has announced a new PayG (Pay as You Go) feature, where users can pay for parking in carparks enabled with GMP solutions even if they do not have the consumer app downloaded on their phones. Introducing this technology makes it possible to have a completely app-less, touchless, and fast parking experience.

PayG as a product is designed to allow both registered and unregistered users to log in as guests through a web app to access the parking lot. It works for PnD sessions as well as in cases where access is granted through Reverse QR or LPR technology.

On entering the parking lot, users can scan the QR Code to get redirected to a web app, where they will be prompted to enter details about the duration of the parking session, their license plate number, and contact details. If the consumer has a promo code available, they can enter it at this point and get a discount.

On starting a session, the users will receive an SMS as well as an email notifying them of the active session. The messages will contain a link to the web app, which will expire once the session ends.

After initiating a session, the user can pay for their parking session using their payment method of choice. Parkers have the option to extend their parking session from the web app link and the fare will be updated accordingly.

PayG is the latest addition to the GMP’s interoperable platform and brings Get My Parking one step closer in its mission of digitizing the parking industry globally.
