Government of Canada lends financial support to AddÉnergie Technologies Inc.

The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that the firm AddÉnergie Technologies Inc. has been granted financial assistance to begin commercializing its charging stations for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles in Canada, the United States and France.
"This is a real boost to innovation the Government of Canada is giving today by lending its financial support to AddÉnergie," says Minister Lebel.

AddÉnergie Technologies designs, develops and sells charging stations for installation in public and private parking lots. These electrical power supply solutions, which incorporate advanced technologies developed in collaboration with Université Laval, are known for their ruggednessparticularly in extreme weather conditions, their wireless communications system that allows for remote operation, and the flexibility of their configuration. These charging stations are designed for easy use by drivers and automobile fleet owners.

The financial assistance announced today has been granted in the form of a $200,000 repayable contribution through Canada Economic Developments Business and Regional Growth program, a measure designed to strengthen the conditions conducive to the sustainable growth of Quebecs regions and small and medium-sized enterprises. The technologies developed through Université Laval are the result of work carried out by the Laboratoire d'électrotechnique, électronique de puissance et commande industrielle (LEEPCI).
